xmms-shell

There's something about sitting at a desk and doing work all day long that makes my desk at home less appealing. I often find myself looking for alternative workspaces -- my bed for example is probably one of my favorites. Since all of my projects require the use of a computer (weird) I'm usually on my laptop. So here I am, laying in bed with my laptop, and in the mood to listen to music. Sure I have speakers on my laptop but I'd rather listen to music through my desktop speakers. Enter xmms-shell. This bad ass little app lets you take control of an instance of xmms running on a different tty. Not much to it -- ssh into the host running the instance of xmms, run the command, then boom, you can control all the functions of xmms through the command line. Type '?' to see a list of commands. Truly, easy listening...
